Translation Only

Occasionally we have encountered people coming to Mexico to do research or who have a project of their own that they wish to work on, but who do not speak enough Spanish to carry out these activities. We are available to support your work in these cases.

When language is a barrier for you, we can help bridge the gap with hours of simultaneous translation, going back and forth from Spanish to English in order for you to have a real conversation with your counterpart. We can also translate your articles or other documents from English to Spanish or vice-versa. Write and ask about prices!

In oral translation, we do not use any equipment. Simultaneous translation means that we will be talking softly in your ear(s) in English, while the speaker speaks in Spanish. Then, when you talk to our speaker, we switch over to his/her ear and translate. It feels funny at first, but after a few minutes it comes very close to feeling like a "real" conversation. This works well for small groups of up to 5 people. Successive translation is used for larger groups: the speaker talks for a minute or two and then pauses, while we translate everything s/he said into English.
